    Hello all, I am trying to find out if my family name has a crest or coat of arms, if not can I design one and have it registered officially for my branch of the family?
    The name originates in Bennebroek (Haarlem) circa 1660.

    Yes, you can have a coat of Arms designed and registered by the Centraal Bureau voor Genealogie and it is all mentioned on their web site :
